Assalamualaikum warahamtu'Allah!

I seek the refuge with the name of Allah from Shaitan who is accursed.

In the name of Allah the entirely merciful the especially merciful. 

 Lesson No:1 From the Surah Al-Fatihah (Revealed in Makkah)

Surah Al-Fatihah is known as the Opener of the Book of Allah SWT. It is also called Umm Al- Kitab (the Mother of the Book). In an authentic Hadith narrated by Abu Hurayrah said that the Messenger of Allah said, Al-Hamdu lillahi Rabbil-'Alamin is the Mother of the Qur'an, the Mother of the Book, and the seven repeated Ayat of the Glorious Qur'an. (recorded by At-Tirmidhi, Grade: Sahih).

Al-Fatihah also knows as As-Shifa' (the Cure). 

Al-Fatihah was called the Salah, because reciting it is a condition for the correctness of Salah- the prayer. Prophet Muhammad S.A.W says that Allah says: The prayer (Al-Fatihah) is divided into two halves between Me and My servants. When the servant says, All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of existence, Allah says, My servant has praised me. 

I learned three lessons from Surah Al-Fatihah:

1. Allah Almighty has some other names and attributes and we should call upon Allah Almighty with these names, we should make an effort to learn and memorize these names of Allah. 
   
   
   
2. In this Surah Al-Fatihah we are taught an etiquette of asking dua' from Allah Almighty. Once a man came to the Masjid, he performed the Salah (prayer) and then he made dua he said: O Allah! Forgive me and have mercy on me. The Prophet Muhammad S.A.W said: "O worshiper! you have rushed, you have been hasty, when you perform Salah (prayer) then sit, then first praise Allah with that which He (SWT) is deserving of, then said Salat (Darood) upon me, and then call upon Allah." so here we learn we should follow three-steps when we are making du'a: First, to praise Allah with His name, His attributes and with His greatness, then we should recite Darood upon Prophet Muhammad S.A.W then we should ask du'a what we want to ask from Allah Almighty.
3. From Surah Al-Fatihah I learned that we should follow nobody but those Allah Almighty bestowed upon them such as The Prophets, The truthful, The righteous, The Martyrs and, for that we should have to learn the characters of these people and we should adopt the company of righteous and truthful. 

May Allah make it easy for me to find a righteous and truthful company or grant me ability to be one of them.
